Bolivar Pou, project director for END in Africa, shares his expertise on the communities that are affected by neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). NTDs affect more than 1 billion people. But, the public health community is targeting NTDs for elimination and control, and there is hope that these diseases may eventually disappear.
