Catalina Escobar is the Founder of the Juan Felipe Gomez Escobar Foundation, that works to improve newborn health, combat teenage pregnancy and break the cycle of poverty in Colombia. Celebrated as a CNN Hero in 2012, Catalina works tirelessly to empower young women and change societies, and her work is featured in the new book, A Path Appears, by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn.
