Liberia Ministry of Education Data Utilization Study

This study examines the following issues in relation to staff in the central MoE, the county education offices (CEOs), and district education offices (DEOs) in Liberia:

a) frequency of data utilization for decision making,

b) factors limiting the use of data for decision making,

c) helpfulness of various types of data for informing decisions, and

d) capacity of staff to use data to inform their decisions.

Data were collected during the summer of 2015, asking respondents to report on the then current situation as well as to report, retrospectively, on the situation that obtained during the 2013-2014 school year.
