Special Journal Issue: Call for Papers
Preparing and developing educational leaders in international contexts:
From policy and theory to preparation and practice
Founded in 1973, The Journal of Educational Considerations (ISSN # 0146-9283) is one of the most prestigious journals in the field of education that provides a voice for current and foreseen issues related to educational leadership practices at all levels of education.
The two guest editors, Dr. Haijun Kang and Dr. Donna Augustine-Shaw from Kansas State University, are pleased to invite manuscripts for an upcoming special issue that focuses on how educational leaders are prepared and developed in educational contexts in different countries.
This special journal issue seeks to capture innovative projects, research, and programs that are preparing and developing educational leaders to face the challenges of leading in the 21st century. These creative and synergistic approaches are critical to developing leadership capacity and supporting practitioners in today’s educational settings. Therefore, this special issue encourages the submission of manuscripts on policies and practices that represent the latest scholarship and programs in the field of educational leadership at all levels of education in multi-cultural contexts.
We welcome manuscripts that focus on but not limited to the following areas:
Exemplar projects, research, and practitioner-based programs that showcase leadership preparation and development models;Job-embedded professional development;Mentoring programs that develop leadership capacity;Policy development in building leadership capacity – from policy and theory to preparation and practice.
Manuscripts should be 4000 to 6000 words in length, including tables, appendices, and references. All manuscripts will be blind-reviewed. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to the special issue guest editor, Dr. Haijun Kang, at email@example.com as an e-mail attachment. Complete name, address, telephone number, and email address of each author should be included in the body of the e-mail and on the title page of the manuscript. Queries concerning proposed articles and or reviews are welcome.
By submitting to The Journal of Educational Considerations, the author guarantees that the manuscript is an original work, is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and has not been previously published. By submitting to this special issue, the author agrees to review one manuscript of another special issue submitter. The author of the manuscript will be blinded.
The University of Chicago’s Manual of Style, 16th edition, is the editorial style required. Tables, graphs, and figures should be placed in a separate file. The editors reserve the right to make grammatical corrections and minor changes in article texts to improve clarity. Address questions regarding specific styles to the special issue guest editors.
