Crowd 360 recently launched #GlobalGoals, Local Strength, a new campaign focused on sharing stories, reports and conversations related to the Sustainable Development Goals. #GlobalGoals, Local Strength seeks to build a digital community sharing ways to bring the Global Goals home. One way to do this is to identify stories and innovations being implemented at the local level which are driving progress towards achieving the Global Goals.

A few examples of local innovations were shared at the Connecting the Global to Local for Innovations in Health and Life Science event in Durham, N.C., on April 25th. Hosted by the FHI Foundation, LaunchBio and the Triangle Global Health Consortium, panels of experts and entrepreneurs discussed how they are innovating at the local level while achieving progress towards global impact.

Additionally, April 27th and 28th marked the Sixth Annual Switchpoint Conference (#Switchpoint) in Saxapahaw, N.C. The Switchpoint conference focuses on the nexus of humanitarian innovation, global health and technology. Conference participants and presenters discussed the latest tools, ideas for and successes with taking different approaches towards solving complex problems.
