The goal of the Guide to the Use of Digital Financial Services in Agriculture is to identify specific challenges in value chains, and to subsequently identify corresponding digital financial service (DFS) solutions with the aim of advancing digital financial inclusion for smallholder farmers.
This online resource is intended to introduce USAID mission staff, implementing partners and other interested parties to The Guide to the Use of Digital Financial Services in Agriculture. This resource will help you diagnose and assess your own agriculture value chains to determine where and how DFS can help you to address the challenges that you are facing. The methodology relies on your knowledge of agriculture in your specific context to develop the most appropriate approach. However, we have included a host of resources and case studies to provide additional context and information. Please read this online resource in addition to the Guide. Information from both resources will help you best implement digital financial services in your agricultural work.
