I hope the community sees [the International Conference on Family Planning] as a point for rejuvenation and a time and space to focus on the things that are going well and on how family planning can play a role in achieving the FP2020 goals and the new Sustainable Development Goals.
I hope ICFP will also provide a safe space to discuss challenges and maybe failures that we’ve had and to really address things in an honest way. I hope the science that is presented speaks to other researchers and program implementers to help establish best practices and really move the field forward. (½)
