Five Billion People Shouldn’t Lack Safe Surgery

Each year, millions of people die due to untreated conditions that required surgical care. Five billion across the globe lack access to basic safe surgery. Indeed, the poorest 1/3rd of the world receive less than 1/10th of all safe surgery procedures. We can do better.

On September 26th, the G4 Alliance, GE Foundation and Jhpiego are discussing a roadmap that will illuminate the way forward, utilizing nurses, midwives and clinical officers to provide basic surgical care. You can join in the discussion.
