Facebook LIVE with HIV.gov – September 8, 2017

Recent research findings on the effects of HIV treatment and viral suppression on the sexual transmission of HIV are a game changer for HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs as well as how people living with HIV see themselves and how they are seen by others. Live from the U.S. Conference on AIDS in Washington, DC, Dr. Rich Wolitski of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services discusses the findings with several HIV-positive colleagues and friends including NASTAD’s Murray Penner, AIDS United’s Jesse Milan, Prevention Access Campaign’s Bruce Richman, and Gina Brown from the Southern AIDS Coalition. They also discuss how the findings are being translated into messages for consumers, healthcare providers, policy makers, and others who need to understand them.
