A majority of merchants in India rely on a well-entrenched cash economy. But they are crucial players and need to be brought on board to help create a digital payment ecosystem. USAID commissioned a study to understand the current behaviors and perceptions towards digital payments among consumers and merchants in low-income communities in India.
