Earlier this year, FP2020, UNFPA, and USAID—in collaboration with more than 20 partners—launched the Costed Implementation Plan Resource Kit—a powerful resource that provides best-practice guidance on planning, developing, and executing multi-year actionable roadmap designed to help governments achieve their family planning goals.
As the 70th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly approaches and leaders gather to advance the post-2015 development agenda, it is important that governments, donors, and the international development field utilize the critical and proven tools at our disposal. For family planning, one of these tools is the Costed Implementation Plan Resource Kit, now available in English and French on the Family Planning 2020 (FP2020) Knowledge Platform (www.familyplanning2020.org/cip).
Please join us at this important time to highlight this valuable resource, informed by the hands-on experience of governments, donors and technical assistance providers that have collectively developed more than 15 CIPs.
Although we concentrated our social media activity on Monday, Sept. 14, we encourage you to use this content—Tweets, Facebook posts and images, newsletter text—across UNGA and in the lead up to the 2015 International Conference on Family Planning, during which there will be multiple opportunities for members of the community to learn more about CIPs.
