The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) announced the 2016 Youth Scholars for its Youth Initiative to End AIDS in America.
According to an NMAC press release, 30 scholars from across the nation have been confirmed as of April 5. The Youth Initiative offers mentorship and training to future leaders ages 18 to 25.
Scholars will participate in a nine-month program, during which they will design and implement youth-oriented HIV programs in their cities and states. They will also attend the annual U.S. Conference on AIDS (USCA), held this year from September 15 to 18 in Hollywood, Florida.
