Advocating for Maternal Health: Checklist for Private Sector Health Providers

Maternal health remains an urgent public health challenge for the global community. The private health sector — which includes independent physicians, nurses, and midwives; traditional practitioners; private clinics and hospitals; pharmacies, health shops, and drug outlets; and health insurers — has a unique ability to address this challenge, especially in providing maternal health care for the most marginalized populations.

Advocating for Maternal Health: A Checklist for Private Sector Health Providers, produced by FCI with support from Merck for Mothers, presents a set of tips and relevant resources and tools to help private sector health providers improve their knowledge, skills, and capacity to conduct advocacy in support of maternal health.
